The Colorado Spring's Business Journal and Legacy Bank-Colorado hosted the 2020 Women of Influence celebration on November 5th. This honor is for local women who create a legacy of leadership in the Pikes Peak region through positive change. Among the 15 honorees was Patricia Yeager, Chief Executive Officer of the Independence Center.
Patricia has been the CEO since 2011, overseeing advancements and leading change for the nonprofit that provides information, resources, and support for those with disabilities. She is a servant leader that invests in others by nurturing their development and encouraging acceptance. She has been interviewed by the Business Journal throughout her career and often states in her interviews, 'If you're mourning who you were, you can't step into who you are.' Equinox's Teal Heath, Board Member of the Independence Center, virtually attended the event to support Patricia. The event was virtual from The Pinery at the Hill.
